In 2016, it came to us; shouldn’t we bring that same hand-crafter and made in the USA quality to our mattress department that you would find in one of our sofas or heirloom quality dining sets?

We searched the market and found that right in our backyard, in nearby Connecticut, The Standard mattress Company was hand-crafting some of the finest mattresses available today by using time-tested construction features and materials rarely seen in those big national brands. Features like natural materials including organic cotton, pure laytex and even DOUBLE SIDED mattresses that can be flipped!

Along with this family owned factory, that has been hand-making mattresses since 1899, we have developed the Chariho Furniture Coastal Mattress Collection. Featuring names of our favorite coastal towns in the region with quality not found in big box stores or national sleep shops.
